Role Description The Key Account Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. This role is responsible for managing and growing key distributor accounts, driving sales of MDPro’s portfolio of medical equipment brands. Day-to-day activities include identifying new business opportunities, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, negotiating pricing and terms, building and executing marketing plans and deliverables, and maintaining regular communication with key stakeholders. The specialist will monitor sales performance, analyze account activity, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing, timely delivery, and high customer satisfaction. The role also involves attending industry events as needed and providing feedback to management on market trends and competitive activity.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Account Management and Customer Service skills to build, maintain, and grow relationships with key distributors and healthcare providers.
- Candidates should possess solid Sales abilities, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting products, handling inquiries, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret sales data, forecast demand, and identify opportunities for growth or improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in medical device or healthcare sales, particularly with distribution networks, is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and basic office productivity software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA, travel to customer locations as needed, and adapt to a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
