Role Description The Account Manager role is a full-time, remote position responsible for managing and growing relationships with veterinary practices, livestock producers, distributors, and other animal health customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for assigned accounts, understanding customer needs, and recommending Zoetis products and solutions to support animal health outcomes and business performance. The Account Manager will develop and execute account plans, coordinate virtual meetings and product presentations, and collaborate with internal teams in sales, marketing, and technical services to address customer inquiries and opportunities. This role involves monitoring account performance, analyzing sales data, preparing reports, and ensuring timely resolution of issues related to product information, orders, and support. The Account Manager is expected to maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge and uphold Zoetis’ customer service and compliance standards in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong account management and relationship-building skills, with experience managing a portfolio of customers or partners.
- Proficiency in consultative selling, customer needs assessment, and solution recommendation within a business-to-business environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain technical or scientific information clearly.
- Ability to analyze sales metrics and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and to prepare concise reports.
- Comfort with remote work technologies, CRM tools, and standard business software (e.g., MS Office or similar).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Experience in animal health, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or related fields is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, animal science, life sciences, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory customer interactions and adherence to regulatory and company guidelines.
