About Warp
Warp is building the freight infrastructure growing businesses should have had all along.
Too many companies are still forced to choose between outdated brokers, rigid carriers, hidden pricing, slow communication, and systems built around the limitations of the freight provider instead of the needs of the customer.
We believe every serious business should have access to the same quality of transportation, technology, visibility, and service as the largest companies in the world. Warp gives businesses one place to quote, book, manage, and track freight across LTL, full truckload, cargo vans, and box trucks.
Our ambition is bigger than selling transportation.
We’re building an open freight network that gives businesses more control over how they grow, where they sell, and who they can compete with.
Warp has doubled every year for the last three years. We expect the people who join now to grow just as quickly.
The Role
You’ll own both new business sales and ongoing account management for a group of growing customers.
You won’t close an account and hand it to someone else.
You’ll find businesses that deserve a better freight experience, earn their trust, help them place their first order, manage the relationship, increase how often they ship, and keep them growing with Warp.
This role is designed for someone with raw ability, urgency, curiosity, and the drive to become excellent quickly.
You don’t need years of freight or sales experience. You do need to be an unusually fast learner. You need to be able to teach yourself, act without waiting for detailed instructions, apply feedback immediately, and take responsibility for becoming great at the role.
What You’ll Own
You’ll find growing businesses that ship pallets, inventory, furniture, equipment, retail products, and other commercial freight.
You’ll prospect through phone, email, referrals, social channels, and other approved outreach.
You’ll respond quickly to inbound leads and new platform registrations.
You’ll learn how each customer currently ships, where the process breaks down, and what those problems cost their business.
You’ll help customers receive quotes, understand Warp, and place their first orders.
You’ll manage the ongoing relationship with every customer assigned to you.
You’ll follow up after the first shipment, increase repeat order volume, reactivate inactive accounts, and identify opportunities to expand each relationship.
You’ll learn your customers’ recurring lanes, shipping patterns, priorities, and concerns.
You’ll coordinate internally when a customer needs help and stay involved until the problem is resolved.
You’ll maintain accurate account notes, follow ups, and next actions. You’ll help customers become confident users of Warp’s self service platform while making sure they always know a real person owns their relationship.
What Success Looks Like
Success isn’t measured by how many emails you send or how many calls you make.
It’s measured by whether customers trust you, place orders, continue using Warp, and grow their business with us.
A successful representative brings in new customers, converts interest into real business, creates a strong first experience, grows repeat ordering, protects customer relationships when something goes wrong, and builds a large book of recurring business.
You should make every customer feel important, regardless of their current size.
A customer placing one order today could become one of the largest companies in the country. Warp’s job is to help them get there.
Compensation
The base salary is $75,000.
Target annual earnings are $150,000.
You’ll earn $0.60 for every valid order placed by the customers assigned to you.
You’ll earn commission on both new and repeat orders because you’ll be responsible for acquiring, onboarding, retaining, managing, and growing your customers.
Commission is uncapped and paid quarterly.
The more successful your customers become with Warp, the more you earn.
Canceled orders don’t count toward commission.
How You Reach Target Earnings
Your base salary is $75,000.
You’ll reach $150,000 in total annual compensation when the customers assigned to you generate $75,000 in commission.
At $0.60 per valid order, that equals approximately 125,000 valid assigned orders.
There is no ceiling on what you can build here or what you can earn.
What We’re Looking For
We don’t care whether you have ten years of experience.
We care whether you can become excellent quickly.
You should be an unusually fast learner who can teach yourself new industries, products, systems, and skills.
You should be highly self motivated and comfortable figuring things out without waiting for someone to provide every answer.
You should be confident speaking with business owners and freight decision makers. You should communicate clearly in writing and conversation.
You should be organized enough to manage a growing book of customers and disciplined enough to prospect and follow up consistently.
You should be curious about how businesses operate and willing to learn freight quickly.
You should be comfortable receiving direct feedback and turning it into visible improvement.
You should take ownership when something goes wrong instead of passing the problem to someone else.
Experience in sales, account management, customer success, business development, hospitality, or another customer facing role is helpful, but it isn’t required.
Freight experience is also helpful, but it isn’t required.
We care much more about intelligence, urgency, resourcefulness, accountability, communication, and your ability to learn.
You’ll Be Expected to Teach Yourself
Warp moves quickly. No training program can anticipate everything you’ll encounter.
You’ll be expected to study freight terminology, services, pricing, customer industries, and common shipping problems.
You’ll learn Warp’s platform without waiting for someone to explain every feature.
You’ll listen to strong customer calls, review lost opportunities, study customer objections, and improve your writing and communication continuously.
You’ll attempt to find answers before escalating questions.
You’ll turn feedback into visible improvement quickly.
Being inexperienced is acceptable.
Remaining inexperienced isn’t.
What Great Looks Like at Warp
Great people at Warp don’t wait to be told every next step.
They notice what’s broken and move toward it.
They care about the person on the other side of the shipment.
They understand that freight isn’t just freight. It’s someone’s inventory, customer promise, store opening, cash flow, reputation, and growth.
They don’t treat a smaller customer as less important.
They don’t hide behind departments.
They stay close to the problem, communicate clearly, and make sure the customer feels real ownership from Warp.
They care enough to follow through.
This Role Isn’t for You If
This role won’t be a fit if you need every task and answer handed to you.
It won’t be a fit if you wait for formal training before taking action.
It won’t be a fit if you avoid phone calls, difficult conversations, or accountability.
It won’t be a fit if you lose interest after closing the first order.
It won’t be a fit if you blame pricing, operations, product, or the customer instead of helping solve the problem.
It won’t be a fit if you’re comfortable delivering average service.
It won’t be a fit if you want a predictable, slow moving job.
It won’t be a fit if you aren’t willing to work on site in Los Angeles.
Why Join Warp
Most freight companies are built around their own limitations.
Warp is being built around what customers should be able to do.
We want a business owner to be able to open Warp, understand the price, book transportation, follow the shipment, access documents, and know someone will take ownership when they need help.
We want growing companies to compete without becoming dependent on Amazon, outdated freight systems, or relationships in which they have no leverage.
We believe logistics should expand what a business can become, not limit it.
Warp has doubled every year for the last three years. Joining now means joining while the company, product, team, and opportunity are still being built.
You’ll have direct ownership of your customers, uncapped commission, access to leaders who expect you to grow quickly, and the opportunity to build a meaningful career faster than a traditional company would allow.
Built by builders, for builders.
