Sales Engineer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Competitive Salary of $80,000 base with an opportunity to receive $130,000 with commissions.
Location: Travel required (approx. 4-8 overnights/month)
About the Role
We are a fast‑growing automation company focused on Safety, Cleanability, and Reliability in food‑processing environments. We are seeking a Sales Engineer who enjoys a mix of product sales, conducting demonstrations and designs, field work, and project leadership. In this position, you will bridge the gap between buyers and sellers by translating technical features into clear business value.
Experience: in several of the following areas is preferred.
- Industrial Experience with Industrial projects or operations
- Understanding business, customer service and driving results
- Autodesk 2D
- Food plant operations, engineering, or Management
Duties include:
- Deliver detailed product information and explain system features to future customers.
- Engineering industrial plant solutions, plant floor layouts to customers requirements.
- Collaborating with SCR Design and engineering team
- Interact with electrical panel builders
- Pre-Sales Support: Collaborating with account executives to answer hard technical questions and help close business deals
- The ability to explain high-tech concepts clearly to non-technical customers.
- Understand the B2B sales cycle, negotiations tactics and customer relationship building.
- Travel to job sites, 4-8 overnights per month typical
- Highly organized, consistent, and self-motivated
- Problem-Solving skills
Qualifications:
Provide drafting and design work on food processing equipment such as conveyors, dumpers, control panels, and integration purchased machines.
Successful applicant may have a degree in Business, Sales, Psychology, Investigation, Engineering, Construction Management, Drafting, Food Plant Operations or a degree from a technical college. A successful candidate may also have industrial experience or experience in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry.
