Engineer Lead
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive Salary of $75,000 to $150,000 depending on experience
Location: Travel Required — Approximately 2-4 Overnight Stays per Month
About the Role
SCR Solutions is a fast-growing company focused on delivering Safe, Clean, and Reliable solutions for food processing environments. We are seeking an Engineer Lead who enjoys a dynamic mix of engineering, hands-on fabrication, field work, and project leadership.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in taking projects from concept through installation while working closely with our customers, engineering team, and fabrication shop.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering tasks, including component and material selection.
- Support fabrication shop operations.
- Manage project designs from initial concept through installation and startup.
- Provide drafting and design for custom food processing equipment, including conveyors, dumpers, tables, platforms, and related systems.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop practical, safe, and reliable solutions.
Preferred Experience
Experience in several of the following areas is helpful:
- SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
- Industrial conveyors, dumpers, controls, processing
- Box erectors, closers, and tapers
- Equipment design
Qualifications
Candidates should have one or more of the following:
- A degree in engineering, construction management, drafting, or a related technical field.
- Completion of a technical college program.
- Relevant industrial experience, particularly in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
Additional Details
- Typical customers include Hormel Foods, Schwan's, Ecolab, and Land O' Lakes.
- Travel averages approximately four overnight stays per month.
