Technifab, located in Avon, Ohio, is a leader in converting custom-engineered closed-cell foam and other products into innovative finished solutions. As part of our strategic initiative, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician!
Primary Function:
Facilitate and perform various Quality Assurance functions in support of Quality Control, including but not limited to inspection, generating inspection reports, testing, data analysis, corrective and preventive action activities, auditing, non-conforming material control, and training.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform verification/inspection (variable and attribute) of in-coming, in-process, or outgoing products within the Quality department, including but not limited to Receiving Inspection or Final Inspection in compliance with inspection plans, procedures, specifications, and/or engineering drawings.
2. Identify and segregate product that exhibits workmanship and material defects through the completion of visual inspection, variable and attribute inspection.
3. Perform detailed measurement inspections utilizing standard measurement equipment, including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread gages, linear scales, etc.
4. Participate in the Technifab internal audit program including preparation, execution and follow up of assigned audits. (As applicable)
5. Facilitate customer source inspection and/or perform customer delegated source inspection. (As applicable)
6. Support the First Article Inspection process through the generation, execution, completion and review of First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102. (As applicable)
7. Create and/or revise inspection plans in support of quality control activities. (As applicable)
8. Drive and effectively document improvements (i.e. reports, summaries, presentations) in relation to safety, quality, delivery and cost through the use of quality assurance techniques and tools (i.e. data mining, FMEA, auditing, CAPA).
9. Complete and maintain accurate and thorough quality records, both manual and electronic, including but not limited to inspection results, log entries, and nonconformance reports.
- Participate in the generation, approval, and maintenance of Technifab’s controlled documents, including but not limited to procedures, process control plans, inspection documentation, standard work, training material, etc.
11. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following all applicable standards and procedures.
12. Lead, monitor, and train Quality personnel, ensuring that work is completed in a safe manner and on-time.
13. Demonstrate working knowledge and application of Industry Standards (AS9100) as well as Technifab’s Quality Management System (QMS).
14. Support Quality Supervision with planning and scheduling of quality control activities through the use of TFI Business Systems.
15. Use Business Management Systems to perform quality related duties as applicable.
16. Author certificate of conformance (CofC) records for customer shipments as required.
17. Perform other Quality related duties as assigned by Technifab Management and/or Supervision.
Experience:
Job Group 5 – Minimum of three (3) years of inspection experience and/or three (3) years Technifab experience (aerospace/quality preferable)
Job Group 6 – Minimum of four (4) years of inspection experience and/or four (4) years Technifab experience (aerospace/quality preferable)
Job Group 7 – Minimum of five (5) years of inspection experience and/or five (5) years Technifab experience (aerospace/quality preferable)

ASQ certification (preferable)
