Role DescriptionTraded is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to help shape the visual identity and growth of our media brands across social, digital, editorial, partnerships, and events.
This is not simply an execution-focused design role. We are looking for someone who actively studies our content and asks,
"How could this perform better?"
What would make someone stop scrolling?
What would make this more shareable?
How can the design make the story more interesting?
The designer will create funding announcements, transaction graphics, company profiles, investor spotlights, market reports, data-driven carousels, editorial features, presentations, partnership assets, event creative, and other branded content across Traded and TradedVC.
The ideal candidate combines strong design fundamentals with an instinct for social media, storytelling, internet culture, and content performance. They should be able to take complicated information and transform it into simple, visually compelling content that people actually want to consume and share.
The Graphic Designer will work closely with Traded's editorial, growth, partnerships, social, and production teams. The role is full-time and based on-site in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida.
Responsibilities- Design daily social graphics, carousels, deal announcements, company profiles, investor spotlights, market reports, editorial content, and branded campaigns
- Continuously review Traded and TradedVC content to identify opportunities to improve creative quality, engagement, retention, and shareability
- Think proactively about how design can help content go more viral, rather than simply executing an existing template
- Develop strong hooks, cover slides, visual concepts, layouts, and creative treatments designed to stop the scroll
- Study high-performing content across Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, media companies, creators, and emerging internet trends
- Analyze what makes certain Traded posts outperform others and apply those learnings to future creative
- Translate financial, real estate, venture capital, startup, technology, and business information into clear and compelling visual stories
- Develop continuous carousel experiences that create curiosity and encourage users to keep swiping
- Create branded assets for partners, events, newsletters, presentations, websites, interviews, and special projects
- Maintain consistency across Traded's brands while continuously pushing and improving the creative direction
- Bring original ideas to the team rather than waiting exclusively for detailed creative direction
- Interpret creative briefs and independently develop strong concepts from initial idea through final execution
- Experiment with new formats, visual styles, typography, storytelling structures, and content concepts
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving media environment
- Incorporate feedback quickly while maintaining a high creative standard
- Build organized, reusable templates and production systems that allow the team to move faster without sacrificing quality
- Collaborate closely with writers, editors, social strategists, marketers, video producers, and business teams
- Review all work carefully for spelling, formatting, factual accuracy, visual consistency, and brand alignment
Qualifications- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional social media, editorial, marketing, publication, or brand design
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, or comparable professional design tools
- Excellent command of typography, composition, layout, visual hierarchy, color, and image selection
- Strong understanding of Instagram carousels, social graphics, presentations, and digital content
- Strong instinct for what makes people stop scrolling, click, swipe, save, share, and engage
- Ability to simplify complicated information without losing the substance of the story
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining a high standard of creative quality
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and daily deadlines
