What You'll DoWe’re looking for a Sales Manager to lead and inspire a team of financial consultants on our Principal Connection team. In this role, you’ll lead a team to ensure exceptional customer experiences and delivery of appropriate Principal products and services in a call center environment.

Who You Are
- Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 8+ years of experience on a sales or service team marketing products and services
- FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 63, or equivalent registrations required immediately upon employment
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 Licenses or ability to obtain within 90 days required. Potential opportunity to obtain FINRA Series 24. Must meet firm standards for registration within applicable jurisdictions
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation supported and encouraged for continued professional growth.
- Strong ability to interpret, position, and market all approved products and services offered in our product suite.
- Demonstrated analytical and financial planning expertise, with deep understanding of industry trends, competitor offerings, and business practices.
- Proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate staff to achieve department and organizational objectives.
- Skilled at setting clear direction, defining priorities, and aligning team performance with company strategies and goals.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain trusted partnerships across teams and business units.
- Strong operational insight, supervisory judgment, and personal accountability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

- Wichita, KS: $104,400 - $140,400 / year
- Des Moines, IA: $110,200 - $148,200 / year
- Charlotte, NC: $116,000 - $156,000 / year
- Chicago/Minneapolis: $127,600 - $171,600 / year
- Los Angeles/New York City: $139,200 - $187,200 / year
Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
