About Bennett Interiors
Bennett Interiors is a full-service interior design firm and retail showroom based in Naples, Florida, specializing in thoughtfully curated residential interiors, renovations, furnishings, and new construction projects.
Our approach is highly personal and detail-driven, combining elevated design with strong project execution and exceptional client service.
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Interior Designer who is passionate about design, highly organized, technologically capable, and interested in building a long-term career within a growing interior design firm.
This opportunity offers direct mentorship from our Principal Designer along with meaningful exposure to design, construction, project management, procurement, client relationships, business operations, and the continued growth of Bennett Interiors.
Growth & Advancement
This position is intentionally structured with professional growth and advancement in mind.
At Bennett Interiors, we believe it is important for a designer to first understand our established processes, protocols, standards, and client experience before independently managing projects.
As the designer demonstrates a strong understanding of the Bennett Interiors approach—along with design judgment, organization, accountability, technological proficiency, client communication, and the ability to effectively manage projects—there is a clear opportunity to advance into a Lead Designer role.
Advancement is based on individual performance, experience, and readiness; however, we anticipate that the right candidate could progress into greater project ownership and client responsibility within approximately six months to one year.
Our goal is not simply to hire an assistant. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career with Bennett Interiors, develop professionally, take ownership of projects and client relationships, and become an important part of the firm’s continued growth.
Position Overview
The Assistant Interior Designer will work closely with the Principal Designer, supporting residential projects from concept development through installation and completion.
At Bennett Interiors, it is our practice for designers joining the firm to begin in an Assistant Interior Designer capacity. This allows each designer to become fully immersed in our design process, project protocols, client experience, administrative standards, procurement procedures, construction coordination, and overall approach to project management before independently leading projects.
This role requires a strong design eye combined with exceptional administrative, organizational, technology, and follow-through skills. The designer will also work closely with our administrative and procurement team as projects move through selections, ordering, logistics, installation, and completion.
We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive, detail-oriented, accountable, eager to learn, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.

● Maintain highly organized project documentation, specifications, selections, schedules, samples, correspondence, and follow-up.
● Manage multiple projects, deadlines, client requests, vendor communications, and priorities simultaneously.
● Anticipate next steps, proactively follow up, and ensure important details do not fall through the cracks.
● Gain hands-on exposure to construction, renovations, project management, and coordination with contractors and trades.
● Assist with reviewing site conditions, construction progress, dimensions, finishes, and project details as needed.
● Assist with styling, accessorizing, and final project presentation.
● Develop an understanding of project budgets, procurement, profitability, client service, and the operational side of the design business.
● Gradually assume greater responsibility for client communication, design selections, project coordination, and independent decision-making as experience and readiness grow.
