About Us
LaHaze is a family-founded, Michigan-grown cannabis company rooted in Northern Michigan. Our business is built on a simple idea: great cannabis takes hard work, community, and persistence. From the soil to the shelf, every LaHaze product reflects that commitment to quality and craft.
We are looking for hands-on Marketing Manager to build and run brand marketing across every channel — digital, in-store, and traditional. This is a true generalist marketing role. You'll run social and content, SMS/email, in-store retail marketing, the website, photography/content production, promotions, and traditional/local media.
Responsibilities
Social Media
- Own the content calendar and daily posting across all brand accounts (LaHaze, REGS, and any future brands)
- Manage community engagement: respond to comments/DMs, monitor mentions, escalate issues
- Ensure all posts comply with CRA advertising rules and platform cannabis policies; manage account-restriction risk
SMS & Email Marketing
- Launch and manage the SMS program (Blaze-integrated or Alpine IQ) — list growth, opt-in compliance, send cadence
- Build and send Klaviyo campaigns for retail/VIP and B2B wholesale audiences
- Manage VIP Club communications: member drops, birthday bonuses, early-access alerts
- Track open, click, redemption, and unsubscribe rates; report monthly
In-Store Point of Sale & Retail Marketing
- Design and maintain in-store signage, menu boards, shelf talkers, and POS displays across 217 Mill, Lighthouse (TC), and Parc Alpena
- Coordinate with store managers on promo timing, product launches, and menu changes
- Keep Weedmaps, Leafly, and online menu listings current and accurate
Website
- Perform routine content updates: product pages, promos, hours, location info, blog/news
- Maintain e-commerce menu presentation and Blaze integration accuracy
- Monitor site analytics and SEO basics; flag issues to IT
Photography & Content Curation
- Shoot and edit product, lifestyle, facility, and event photography/video
- Maintain an organized brand asset library (photos, logos, templates) for all locations
- Ensure visual consistency with brand guidelines across every channel
Promotions & Campaign Concepting
- Develop monthly and seasonal promo concepts (holidays, 4/20, drops, clearance)
- Build campaign briefs: offer, audience, channels, creative, timeline, budget
- Coordinate execution across social, SMS, email, in-store, and third-party channels
- Measure results against goals and document learnings
Third-Party & Traditional Marketing
- Manage billboard placements: vendor relations, creative, contracts, rotation schedules
- Manage radio advertising (e.g., WGFN/Black Diamond bundle): scripts, flight schedules, 21+ audience compliance
- Plan and staff promo events, pop-ups, sponsorships, and vendor days; handle permits and CRA compliance
- Coordinate with wholesale partners on co-marketing for LaHaze and REGS products
Qualifications
- 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally with direct ownership of both digital and in-person/retail marketing channels
- Working knowledge of Michigan CRA cannabis advertising rules and platform-level cannabis content policies
- Hands-on experience with email/SMS marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Alpine IQ, or similar) and building segmented, compliant campaigns
- Comfort with retail-facing tools: Weedmaps/Leafly listing management, POS/menu platforms (Blaze or similar)
- Photography and basic video/photo editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Lightroom, or similar)
- Experience building and executing campaign briefs end-to-end — concept, budget, timeline, channel coordination, and post-campaign reporting
- Basic website content management (WordPress or similar) and comfort reading site analytics
- Experience with traditional media buying/vendor management (billboards, radio, sponsorships)
- Excellent project management and prioritization skills
- Comfortable working in-office in Northern Michigan and traveling periodically between retail locations (Cheboygan, Traverse City, Alpena)
- Must be 21+ and able to pass any licensing/background requirements applicable to Michigan cannabis industry employees
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
