Prosper-tech is a family owned (~40 people) CNC machining service provider for the medical device, aerospace, and defense industries. We are looking for a Quality Engineer as a new position to strengthen quality control and assurance within the company and externally.

- First Shift – 8-4:30
- $65k to 75k+/yr depending on experience.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- ·Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience
- 2 years+ of precision measuring experience (job-shop environment preferred)
- Must be able to create control plans off machining print, including GD&T
- Must be able to write and communicate verbally professionally
- Blueprint reading – Must be able to identify physical features from print, associated tolerances, and determine which quality tools to use to measure for the accuracy needed
- GD&T – Must understand GD&T principles and how to apply to control plan creation.
- Ability to use and train others on the following – Micrometers, calipers, gage pins, gage blocks, dial indicators, surface plate, optical comparator, etc
- High proficiency of technical communication via email, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office tools (40 wpm+ typing required)
- Ability to work within AS9100 requirements and through a digital ERP system.

- QMS Management
- Support areas of quality control – know whats required (what qc equipment to check for each feature, in addition to customer internal standards and inspections)
- Control plan conformance to customer standards
- Operator checks conformance to customer standards
- QC lot inspections conformance to customer standards
- CMM checks conformance to customer standards
- Assembly inspections conformance to customer standards
- Final inspections conformance to customer standards
- QC documentation package generation
- Support AS9100 Internal and External Audits
- Assist with internal dispositions
- Quality assurance – gage calibration and organization
- Utilize Proshop gage library to track calibrations and own the physical organization standards in the plant
- Quality assurance – customer facing
- Generate NCRs/RMA as needed
- Perform Corrective Actions as needed
- Generate PPAP documentation
- Facilitate source inspection events
Quality assurance – vendors
o Issue vendor NCRs as needed
o Work with vendors to strengthen supply chain and relationships

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
