The Role
HII is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Financial, Planning and Analysis Analyst (FP&A) to work as part of the corporate FP&A team. This includes but is not limited to preparing financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, acquisition analysis, and ad-hoc requests. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills, coupled with finance and accounting experience. This role reports to the Corporate FP&A Manager and works with divisional and corporate FP&A teams to develop materials that support the Corporate Finance leadership team and the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Supports the preparation of the annual operating plan
- Coordinates monthly forecast and reporting packages, including analysis of key performance indicators and risk and opportunities
- Prepares presentations for the executive and senior leadership teams and the board of directors
- Performs comparative analytics and monitors performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Utilizes financial planning software to develop forecasts, analytics and reports
- Support and collaborate with divisional and corporate teams to strengthen financial planning systems and processes
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Experience with consolidating and modeling data
- Experience working with and supporting executive level business partners
- Strong analytical capabilities and technical skills
- Proven problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills (verbal, written, presentation)
