We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 5 years of experience in residential, commercial, and coastal structural design.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- EIT Certification required; NJ Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- 5 years of hands-on structural design experience (wood, steel, concrete, masonry, and pile/foundation systems).
- Proficiency in structural modeling and design software (StruCalc, RAM or similar) and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of coastal structural engineering principles (ASCE 7 wind/flood loads, IBC/IRC codes).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and local planning/zoning boards.

Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for residential additions, new custom homes, commercial buildings, and coastal structures.
- Prepare complete, clear, and accurate structural engineering plan sets, calculations, and detail sheets.
- Review architectural plans and coordinate structural framing and foundation layouts with project teams.
- Conduct structural site inspections, condition assessments, and construction administration services.
- Research municipal code requirements, flood zone regulations, and building codes to ensure structural compliance.
- Communicate directly with clients, architects, builders, and municipal officials.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Required).
- 5 years of structural design experience (Required).
- Proficiency in structural design software and AutoCAD.
- EIT Certification (Required); NJ PE License (Preferred).
