Position Summary
The Junior Wealth Management Associate supports the firm's Private Wealth Management team with a focus on client service, financial planning, and financial wellness. The role works directly with clients and employees to understand their financial needs, provide education and guidance, develop financial roadmaps, and support the continued growth and retention of the firm's wealth management client base.
The ideal candidate is client-focused, detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop broad financial planning knowledge while working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. Periodic travel may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Financial Planning
- Assess clients' financial situations and assist in developing recommendations aligned with their short- and long-term goals.
- Engage clients in broad financial planning conversations to identify individual needs and priorities.
- Develop financial roadmaps and incorporate appropriate model portfolios to align with specific client needs.
- Build and maintain client relationships to support retention and growth of the client base.
- Support the Wealth Management team and assist with ongoing client service needs.
Financial Wellness & Education
- Provide financial wellness education, guidance, and actionable next steps across a broad range of personal financial topics.
- Conduct one-on-one consultations to provide education and coaching related to employees' short- and long-term financial goals.
- Lead and deliver webinars, in-person sessions, and other educational programs covering financial wellness topics.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to enhance the firm's overall Financial Wellness offering.
Business Development & Growth
- Identify opportunities through employee and client interactions to expand wealth management relationships, assets, and revenue.
- Collaborate across the Employee Wealth Services team to support asset growth, revenue expansion, and client retention.
Technology & Team Support
- Use CRM, financial planning, and other technology platforms to support client service, generate reports and analysis, measure program results, and prepare client-facing materials.
- Follow established firm processes, procedures, and protocols and maintain a high degree of accuracy in assigned responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively across the team and assist with responsibilities and projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services or a related industry preferred.
- Strong interest in financial planning, wealth management, and financial education, with a willingness to develop expertise across a broad range of personal financial management topics.
- Strong client-service and interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in understanding individual client situations and needs.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership, develop plans, and follow responsibilities through to completion.
- High degree of professionalism, sound judgment, and ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and professional backgrounds.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and a technology-forward approach to CRM, financial planning, and related software.
