About the Program
The CIB USA Analyst Program is designed for ambitious, high-achieving students graduating in May or June 2026 who are eager to begin their careers in investment banking and global markets.
As an analyst, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience in one of BBVA’s CIB business areas, contributing to live transactions, market activity, and client projects from day one.
- Participate in structured training focused on technical skills, product knowledge, and financial markets, ensuring a strong foundation to build your career.

This is a full-time program beginning in Summer 2026, with placement into one of our core business areas. The program is designed to provide the technical expertise, professional development, and global perspective necessary to become a successful future leader in Corporate & Investment Banking.
Candidates selected will be considered for placement in one of the following areas:
Corporate and Investment Banking Industry Coverage Team
This team acts as the primary relationship managers for BBVA’s corporate and institutional clients. They develop long-term client partnerships, identify client needs, and coordinate across product areas to deliver comprehensive financial solutions. Analysts in this group learn how to understand client strategy, structure financing, and provide advisory support across industries.

Global Markets Sales and Trading
This team provides clients with access to capital markets products, including foreign exchange, fixed income, and equity-linked solutions. Analysts will gain insight into how market dynamics drive client needs, learn how to execute trades, and support clients with tailored risk management strategies. This area is fast-paced, market-driven, and client-focused.
Investment Banking
Investment Banking at BBVA covers a wide range of financing and advisory solutions. Analysts in this group will gain exposure to:

Global Transaction Banking
The Global Transaction Banking team provides innovative solutions in cash management, trade finance, and working capital optimization. Analysts in this area will learn how to deliver services that help clients manage liquidity, payments, and global trade flows efficiently. This is a client-centric area focused on technology-driven transaction solutions.
Risk
Risk is central to BBVA’s culture and success. The Risk team ensures the bank maintains a strong control environment and sustainable risk profile. Analysts will develop skills in credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, market and operational risk management, and gain exposure to regulatory frameworks. This area is well-suited for candidates with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for May and June 2026 graduates who demonstrate:
- Strong academic achievement (all majors considered, finance/economics preferred)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills

Application Process
The program begins in Summer 2026. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected candidates will be invited to participate in interviews and assessment activities.

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
