Location: Austin, TX (in-office)
Start: Immediate
Position Type: Full-time
The Role
As a Business Development Analyst, you’ll be a core member of our team, helping ScaleView connect with exceptional technology companies and investors. You’ll build and nurture relationships with founders, CEOs, private equity firms, and corporate development leaders at top technology companies. You’ll also sharpen your investment banking skills, gain exposure to live M&A and fundraising processes, and develop sales skills that will serve you throughout your career.
This is a highly entrepreneurial role: part researcher, part relationship-builder, part deal-spotter. You’ll identify promising opportunities, understand key company metrics, and help position SVP as the trusted partner for technology founders.
About ScaleView Partners
ScaleView Partners (SVP) is the technology-focused investment bank built for founders, by founders. We exist to serve as the trusted advisors we wish we’d had when we built and sold our own SaaS business. Our clients—founders, CEOs, and investors—rely on us to guide them through some of the most consequential decisions of their careers: raising growth capital or selling their companies.
Our team brings a unique perspective to every engagement. We’ve sat on every side of the table—entrepreneur, banker, private equity investor, and strategic acquirer—which gives us a holistic view of the process and a deep sense of empathy for founders. At SVP, we combine this experience with a growth-oriented culture where learning, curiosity, and collaboration drive success.
What You’ll Do
- Originate new opportunities: Make outbound calls to tech founders and CEOs to qualify prospective clients, explain SVP’s value proposition, and advance the most promising opportunities.
- Build relationships: Develop and nurture long-term business relationships with founders, investors, and referral partners across long sales cycles.
- Research markets: Use tools like Grata, Pitchbook, and LinkedIn to map target markets, identify prospects, and track industry trends.
- Support deal flow: Gather key financial and strategic metrics, and help prepare pitches and presentations for high-potential companies.
- Track and measure: Achieve activity goals outlined in weekly plans, and update Salesforce with accurate, timely information about prospects and calls.
- Collaborate: Work closely with senior bankers to align business development efforts with ongoing client engagements.
What We’re Looking For
- Confident communication skills—confident and credible speaking with founders, CEOs, and investors both over the phone and in person.
- A track record of achievement—whether in academics, athletics, prior roles, or personal pursuits.
- Intellectual curiosity and genuine passion for technology and entrepreneurship.
- Competitive drive, resilience, and the discipline to excel in a high-performance environment.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and motivation to learn.
- Bonus points if you have prior exposure to sales, finance, investment banking, or private equity, but it’s not required—we value raw talent and drive.
Why Join SVP?
- Hands-on learning: Extensive daily exposure to clients, counterparties, and both junior and senior bankers.
- Career growth: Growth-oriented culture with ongoing development, mentorship, and clear promotion opportunities.
- Impact: Work directly with technology founders making pivotal business decisions.
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses
- Health, dental, and vision coverage
