You Will Be
As a Coordinator of Public Relations and Celebrity at Saks Global, you will support a dynamic team of PR pros on all press initiatives that elevate the company through strategic media relations, earned coverage, brand partnerships and more. Working independently as well as with cross-functional teams, you will create organizational internal efficiency for the greater PR team while also engaging externally with top-tier press across strategic priorities. With a solutions-oriented mindset, you will contribute to Saks Global’s high impact event calendar, brand burnishing launches and more
What You Will Do
- Assist in PR support for special events (some evenings and weekends as required by event schedule) and support talent deliverables as needed for special events and projects
- Assist in creation of media materials including press releases, media alerts, executive bios and more
- Proactive press outreach to generate press placements, as needed, and invite media and talent to special events
- Maintain press, talent, stylist and agent lists for team
- Monitor press coverage for launches, announcements and more and create press summaries and results’ recaps
- Monitor talent news cycles to produce recommendations, as well as forecast potential risks
- Execute research projects related to larger press planning
- Support execution of launches, announcements, press events and more
- Liaise between the PR team and various internal teams as required, including events, social media, marketing, merchandising, creative and more
- Process and track invoices and support monthly and annual PR budget tracking and reporting
What You Will Bring
- Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):
- Must have strong written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexibility in schedule (some evenings and weekends as required by event schedule)

- Strong understanding of the media landscape and fashion markets
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication and multitasking skills
- Results oriented, must be willing to take ownership of all assigned responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Strong team player and positive “can-do” attitude
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field of study
