Position Summary
Kith is seeking a Temp, Design to support the design department and report to the Design Director. The role focuses on creating and managing tech packs, ensuring garment fit and quality, collaborating with vendors and internal teams, and maintaining brand standards from design handoff through production.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Design Director each season to research, develop, and design collections.
- Manage the design process from initial sketch to production, ensuring cohesiveness across assigned product categories.
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs with specifications on construction, trims, and fabrics; update sketches, BOMs, and measurements as needed.
- Review, size, and adjust graphics/textiles to align with design intent.
- Measure, examine, and assess samples at all stages; provide fit comments, pattern corrections, and construction feedback.
- Participate in fittings and partner closely with Technical Design to resolve fit issues and maintain consistency.
- Communicate updates and changes to overseas vendors and internal partners in a timely manner.
- Ensure all products meet Kith’s high-quality standards and brand values
- Execute tasks and projects with critical attention to detail and urgency to meet department deadlines.
- Actively participate in meetings, taking detailed notes and contributing to discussions.
- Support technical design leaders in enhancing processes and procedures as the business evolves.
Qualifications
- 0–3 years’ experience in Design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Fashion Design.
- Strong skills in patternmaking, draping, and garment construction.
- Proficiency in Gerber Accumark, Adobe Suite, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and PLM.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Experience with contemporary/high-end brands and menswear preferred.
