Role Summary
The NDT Quality Engineer (Level VII) will demonstrate leadership in executing and communicating manufacturing schedules aligned with set objectives. This role supports process development, validation, and change management activities. The engineer will leverage expertise in NDT, quality systems, and manufacturing processes to meet project objectives and company timelines.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop quality assurance initiatives aligned to AIAG Control Plan and FMEA risk assessment guidelines.
- Support the development, facilitation, qualification, and execution of Internal PPAP initiatives.
- Review and update preventive maintenance documentation.
- Conduct NDT testing per client specifications.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Monitor FPY (First Pass Yield) data collection and reporting.
- Perform internal documentation audits as required.
- Update CAD/CREO/Pro-E files when applicable.
- Coordinate and execute DOEs (Design of Experiments) per Matrix output.
- Ensure PDNs, PCNs, and Quality Plans are accurate and aligned with project status.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Practice, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, quality, production, or manufacturing operations (preferably automotive or related industry).
- Experience with AIAG standards and ISO 9001 compliance.
- Hands-on experience supporting and executing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Certified NDT Level II Technician by ASNT (American Society of Nondestructive Testing) or equivalent.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently on assigned projects.
