The Role
Position Overview
As a Manager, you will work closely with a high-performing team on advising mega-fund, middle-market private equity and corporate clients on commercial due diligence and growth strategy across the industrial, energy transition and critical infrastructure sectors. You will support investors and operators in areas such as renewable energy, grid modernization, and utility services, delivering grounded insights that go beyond traditional due diligence. You will play a pivotal role in firm-building initiatives, have significant ownership of driving projects and thrive in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment. In this role you are expected to lead large projects, innovate processes, and maintain operational excellence while interacting with clients at a senior level to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage concurrent consulting engagements - interacting with clients as a senior member of the consulting team
- Own/drive the development and presentation of final project deliverables
- Ensure the quality of engagements continues to be truly distinctive in its focus on client impact
- Help with proposal development/business development activities by leveraging existing relationships with C-level executives
- Improve the depth of knowledge within the practice by leading IP efforts in areas that have commercial appeal
- Help recruit, develop, and retain the next generation of Associates and Consultants
- Influence firm-building activities and initiatives such as training, creating feedback systems, or career development frameworks
- Represent the firm in community activities and professional associations
The Candidate
Qualifications
- Previous strategy consulting experience with at least 1-2 years in the capacity of Manager at a top-tier consulting firm
- Must have commercial due diligence experience; ability to lead concurrent engagements
- Deal experience across the Energy and Industrial Sectors
- Experience managing multiple complex engagements within the complete M&A life cycle
- Excellent foundational consulting skills: analytical, written, and verbal communication, strong executive presence, facilitation, and presentation skills
- “Boardroom” experience and presence to represent the client confidently and convincingly among the highest levels of executives
- Proven track record of sustained multi-year trusted advisory relationships with clients
- The ability to work successfully in a flat, collaborative environment
