Overview: Mythical seeks an organized and resourceful Channel Manager to support the launch of content across the company’s suite of YouTube channels & Podcast feeds and aid in channel management. The position will also provide analytics and reporting assistance to optimize future publishings. This position requires 2-4 years of channel management and content operations experience and will report to the Senior Director of Analytics and Optimization.
Responsibilities - Own/Support the publishing of videos, ensuring all releases are on-time and optimized, for Mythical Entertainment’s slate of content.

- Podcasts: EB / AHDIAS / DFMB
- Special Projects: Good Mythical Evening, Mythical Kitchen Live and tours
- Additional Platforms: FAST/OTT, Mythical Society, Sporked, and Short Form
- Work with the Senior Director of Analytics and Optimization to ensure title and thumbnail optimization for all uploads, utilizing A/B testing and YouTube best practices.
- Apply keyword tagging, Info and End Cards placement, and optimization of other associated metadata to all uploads
- Manage publishing strategy, execution, programming, and analytics reporting for all Mythical FAST channels (Roku, Grace Note, Amagi, MS Start Watch, etc)
- Support weekly and monthly reporting on KPI / OKR data deep-dives for YouTube videos and podcasts as needed
- Work with production & design teams to place channel & end card artwork
- Optimizate channel settings, modify channel bio, tags, links, and artwork
- Liaise with the post production team to receive final assets for upload
- Work with the Director, Brand Partnerships to ensure accurate use of branded integration messaging and FTC compliance procedures on all branded uploads
- Manage monetization and brand restriction settings
- Review & Approve viewer comments and respond as needed
- Analyze potential monetization or IP enforcement issues and communicate with senior management and YouTube reps to navigate issues before they arise
- Correspond with DRM / IP claiming partners, specifically those at Superbam
- Update video description templates as needed
- Stay up to date on best practices for YouTube channel management and growth
- Support the captioning process via programs such as Premiere, YouTube, and Descript as needed
Requirements
- 2 - 4 years in a content operations focused position is preferred
- A solid understanding of the backend for YouTube and various social media platforms and how to optimize uploads to said platforms
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented
- Thorough understanding of the Google Suite of apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, GMail, Forms and Calendar) and Slack
- Excellent work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a sharp attention to detail
- Willingness to be responsive after-hours and on weekends as needed
Preferred
- Experience working with data to drive creative decision making
- Strong familiarity with YouTube creators and digital content trends
- Experience with project management softwares (Monday.com, Asana, Airtable, etc)
- Experience working with the Adobe suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Manager)
- Multi language speaker a plus
This job requires continuous work at a desk, utilizing a monitor and keyboard for at least 50% of the workday.
