Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Reports to: Head of Sales Development
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be a key driver of Rafay’s growth by generating new business opportunities through strategic inbound and outbound efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, contact, and qualify potential customers that fit our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), building a robust pipeline that leads to increased revenue.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Research potential prospects in target markets using LinkedIn, Outreach.io, Apollo.io, and Salesforce.
- Outbound Outreach: Drive conversations through cold calls, personalized emails, and social selling to uncover new opportunities.
- Qualifying Leads: Understand prospect needs, qualify sales opportunities, and schedule meetings or demos for Account Executives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with AEs and Marketing to align efforts, ensure smooth handoffs, and maximize results.
- Performance Tracking: Maintain detailed records in Salesforce and provide regular reports on pipeline health and activity.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market shifts to sharpen outreach strategies.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in an outbound SDR role, ideally in tech or SaaS.
- Proven success in lead generation and qualification through cold calling and email.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (SalesLoft, Zoominfo, Nooks).
- Self-motivated, driven, and organized with strong time management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
