Overview:
Seeking a skilled Process Engineer to lead injection molding operations, drive process stability, and implement data-driven improvements. This role focuses on optimizing performance, supporting new product launches, and ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and productivity
Core Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Control
- Implement and standardize moulding best practices across global networks.
- Control and optimize process parameters, material usage, and scrap reduction.
- Deploy SMED to minimize changeover times.
- Analyze and resolve process failures and support OPTIMAP-aligned launches.
- Lead continuous improvement across cycle times, downtime, tooling, and energy usage.
- Own and maintain the technical integrity of injection databases (e.g., Mattec).
- Design and justify equipment upgrades to boost productivity and reduce downtime.
- Owns and maintains Injection Process FMEA and ensures standardized work practices.
- Leads and develops the Injection Tech team to achieve best-in-class processes and quality standards.
- Collaborates cross-functionally (e.g., paint, assembly) to resolve shared challenges.
- Drives visual management and supports technical recruitment for injection roles.
Key Qualifications & Knowledge
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience; specialization in chemical/plastics technology is a plus.
- 5+ years in industrial production or engineering, particularly in injection molding and large-scale equipment management.
- Strong expertise in injection processes, plastic part molding, and process control.
- Proven track record in problem-solving, lean manufacturing, and industrial best practices.
- Experience with robot programming and computer systems is advantageous.
- Fluent in English; strong data-driven, methodical, and process-oriented approach.
Additional Responsibilities
- May program robots or lead robot programming efforts.
- Represents the plant in injection technology networks.
- Actively contributes to team capability building and technical assessments.
