Northborne is seeking an Analyst to join our rapidly growing M&A practice, starting in July 2026.

As an Analyst, you will play a critical role in every aspect of the transaction process, from initial pitch through closing, including interacting closely with the firm’s senior bankers and clients’ senior executives. Responsibilities
- Supporting preparation of pitch and marketing presentations
- Preparing, analyzing, and explaining historical and projected financial information
- Assisting in the preparation of financial models and business valuations
- Conducting industry and company-specific research and due diligence
- Identifying potential strategic and financial (e.g., private equity) buyers for our clients
- Supporting the due diligence process of buyers, including managing online data rooms
- Interacting with clients regularly, including attending client meetings
- Assisting in the development of client, prospective client, and professional advisor relationships
- Participating in the overall growth and culture of the firm
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, graduating Spring 2026 (finance, accounting, economics, or related field preferred)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (preferred)
- Relevant internship experience (M&A, transaction advisory, finance, or related field preferred)
- Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles, financial modeling, and valuation techniques
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with impeccable attention to detail
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment
- Candidates must be able to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects at once and learn quickly
