We are looking for a Product Development Coordinator to work directly with tarte's Product Development team to provide support and maintain efficient operation of the department.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end sample management process: request, receive, label, organize, track, and distribute samples for formulas
- Support PD team with new product development initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
- Maintain and organize PD sample libraries, internal formula feedback, photo trackers, and batch trackers
- Coordinate and prep samples for internal reviews, vendor meetings, market week meetings and pre-launch activities
- Track and document feedback from internal teams and relay to external vendors
- Support formula testing, model try-ons, compatibility testing, and internal feedback analysis
- Manage daily package intake and outbound shipments; send daily package update emails
- Assist in maintaining project timelines
- Schedule and attend vendor presentations both in office and at trade shows while responsible for product meeting recaps
- Help track product performance from development through reorder batches
- Maintain organization of artwork/photo samples and contribute to image database management
- Provide administrative support, including travel booking and expense report submission
Requirements
- 1-2 years of full-time experience in beauty, cosmetics, or a related industry preferred (color matching experience preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with product samples, submissions, and cosmetics formulas a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and vendor communication
- Highly proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable to evolving priorities
- Collaborative, team-player mindset with a can-do attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Excel and database tracking tools
- Ability to travel occasionally and attend in-person meetings or labs as needed
- Occasional off-hours availability for international calls and lab communication
