Role: Engineering Technician
Location: Zimmerman, MN
Salary Range: $80K - $90K

Must Have(s)
- At least 1 year of experience in building .
- Experience with linear or rotary electro-mechanical actuators.
- Basic understanding of torque and Loctite.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with good understanding of machine design, motion control, metal fabrication and finishing.
- Basic understanding of GD&T and ability to read drawings.
- If they have electrical experience that’s great, but this is mechanical in nature.
- NOT looking for a facility, HVAC, residential technician.
- Must have experience with building and assembling high-precision machines for prototyping and then for high volume production.
- Must have experience with NPD or NPI (new product development/introduction)
- Must be OK traveling locally for field support, this is rare, but may come up
Job Description:
- The Mechanical Engineering Technician is responsible for reviewing prototype designs, models and drawings, assembling, testing, and certifying prototypes, providing feedback and suggesting improvements to the design team, documenting assembly and certification processes, and leading the transition to production via written and hands on training. Job duties may also include simple manual machining and other activities associated with prototyping.
- This is accomplished through the following essential functions:
- Review prototype designs, models, and drawings.
- Assemble, test, and certify prototypes.
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements to the design team.
- Document assembly and certification processes.
- Lead the transition to production via written and hands on training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
