Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager, Zone Sales supports achieving Field Office Business Objectives, primarily focused on
sales targets for both New and Certified vehicles, customer satisfaction, and brand retention.
This position is also responsible for supporting the development of skills and competencies of the Zone field sales associates.
Key Accountabilities
Business Analysis:
- Research, compile and analyze customer sentiment data to promote best practice and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain reporting as a tool for analysis to determine trends, platform/use case performance and operational impact that will lead to potential user stories.
- Lead focus groups - Interview stakeholders, understand requirements, and document findings.
- Partner with the Product Owner to engage key stakeholders to both gain and provide understanding of cross-dependencies.
- Provide support on issues and questions from stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and gain commitment between business and IT units to align solutions with business strategies.
- Partner with the product owner to create user stories with relevant acceptance criteria and organize the backlog in a system (i.e JIRA).
- Support the team groom the product backlog by understanding the purpose, prioritizing the stories, organizing the stories, and ensuring a complete description of the solution.
- Collaborate with the product owner to refine and maintain the product backlog and project documentation. Generate documentation including design flow and wireframes.
- Generate test plans, test cases, and perform System Test and UAT to ensure high quality releases.
- Create and maintain support documents including process maps/flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, status reports, work logs for action items, defects, testing scripts, sprint decks, etc. Use the Honda selected tracking tools to maintain these materials (i.e., Jira).
- Lead business analysis processes in the release cycles covering software, application, system upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance, as the liaison between business and IT.
- Serve as a liaison between business and IT, including writing user stories and other documentation that IT can easily understand to develop product features.
- Collaborate with developer teams during design and development phases.
- Support the development of charters / business cases to assess feasibility and make recommendations to working team and CX Leadership.
- Develop materials to support change management efforts, in collaboration with Transformation Office.
- Ensure on time delivery of projects and related business objectives.

- Contribute to the organization’s Agile transformation by adopting and spreading knowledge of agile principles and processes.
- May coach and mentor less experienced staff.
- Provide leadership to staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Any other duties as management sees fit.
Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
- BS/BA Customer experience, marketing/market research/business or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years in a customer-centric project as support/delivery, or enterprise strategy development
- Experience with business Analysis and Agile methodology
- Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, products and technology
- Possess critical thinking, business judgement, analytical and presentation skills
- Advanced MS Office skills required, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong consumer research and analysis skills
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Working Conditions
- Minimal travel (dealer visits, dealer meetings, offsite events) 10% or less
- Office environment 4 days a week minimum
- Potential need for work outside normal hours (East Coast coverage with available Comp Time per AHM policy)
