About the Role: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating qualified opportunities for the sales team by identifying, engaging, and nurturing potential customers. SDRs play a critical role at the top of the sales funnel by creating the first impression of EFL Global, educating prospects on our services, and setting up meaningful conversations for account executives.
Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Outreach
- Research and identify target accounts within the EFL ideal customer profile (ICP).
- Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, social media, and networking.
- Qualify inbound leads and assess fit before passing to sales.
Lead Qualification & Nurturing
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, challenges, and priorities.
- Use CRM and sales engagement tools to track, nurture, and follow up with leads.
- Maintain a high volume of daily activities (calls, emails, LinkedIn touches).
Collaboration with Sales & Marketing
- Partner with Account Executives (AEs) to set up qualified meetings and hand off opportunities smoothly.
- Work closely with Marketing to follow up on campaigns, events, and inbound leads.
- Share feedback from the market to help refine messaging and targeting.
Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities in CRM.
- Track progress against key performance indicators (calls, meetings booked, pipeline generated).
- Provide weekly/monthly reports on outreach activities and pipeline contribution.
Key Success Metrics:
- Number of qualified meetings booked.
- Pipeline value created for Account Executives.
- Conversion rate from prospecting to opportunity.
- Consistency in daily/weekly activity metrics (calls, emails, touchpoints).
Career Progression: The SDR role is designed as the entry point into a career in sales, with clear growth opportunities:
- 18-24 Months: Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Build prospecting skills, learn the business, and contribute pipeline.
- Next Step: Junior Sales, Business Development, Account Executive (AE) – Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
- Future Growth: Senior AE, Sales Manager, or Account Director – Take on larger accounts, leadership responsibilities, or specialized verticals.
- Alternative Paths: Depending on strengths and interests, high-performing SDRs may transition into Marketing, Customer Success, or Sales Operations/Enablement.
