About the Position We're seeking a strategic and results-driven
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead The Princeton Review and Tutor.com's financial strategy, planning, and business operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping the financial future of the organization and ensuring fiscal discipline across all business units.
The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury, and compliance. This role will also oversee business operations including corporate real estate and supply chain. This role requires a visionary leader who can align financial strategy with organizational goals, drive operational efficiency, and support sustainable growth. The CFO will work closely with senior leaders across departments to provide data-driven insights, guide investment decisions, and ensure the company maintains a strong financial foundation to serve its diverse student populations.
This is a pivotal role with significant impact on the company's performance, requiring a blend of strategic foresight, operational excellence, and collaborative leadership.
What You'll Do As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the financial strategy and operations of The Princeton Review and Tutor.com, ensuring the organization's fiscal health and supporting its long-term growth. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's mission, growth objectives, and operational priorities.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes to ensure financial sustainability and performance.
- Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and successful completion of audits.
- Treasury & Capital Management: Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital allocation to optimize financial resources and support strategic investments.
- Executive Collaboration: Partner with the CEO and executive team to provide financial insights and support data-driven decision-making across departments.
- Operational Oversight: Lead business operations including corporate real estate and supply chain, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the enterprise.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Technology & Systems: Oversee financial systems and tools, driving automation and scalability to support a growing and dynamic organization.
Who You Are- A seasoned financial executive with 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate finance, and ideally within multi-unit or service-based organizations.
- The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, and compliance, with a proven track record driving strategic growth and operational efficiency.
- Successfully led finance teams through periods of transformation and are adept at aligning financial strategy with business objectives.
- Possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels, including board members and investors.
- Data-driven decision-maker, skilled in leveraging financial analytics to guide investment decisions, manage risk and optimize performance.
- Experienced in managing complex budgets, forecasting models, and financial systems, and have overseen audits, regulatory reporting, and capital planning.
- Collaborative and inclusive leader who builds high-performing teams and fosters a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable operating in dynamic environments and bringing a strategic mindset with hands-on operational capabilities.
