JOB TITLE: Financial Controller

SUPERVISES: 2-5 support staff

Reports to: General Manager

Job Scope: The Financial Controller, is responsible for overseeing financial statements like balance sheets, invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Their duties include directing accounting personnel and department operations, compiling financial reports based on financial statements and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist management with important financial decisions
Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, operating budgets, and statements to understand the financial state of business
Month and Year Close
A/R and A/P
Works closely with the corporates CPA to minimize tax obligations
Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets
Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs
Keep up to date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas
Understand the financials of a company to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing

Basic Qualifications

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Manufacturing Accounting Experience
Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively across different departments.
Positive, team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced work environment
Passion for Continuous Improvement.
Change Agent- Ability to work outside the box.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance working a manufacturing environment
Requires little supervision.
Ability to create, produce and communicate innovative ideas to the Executive Leadership
