About this role:
The Portfolio Management Analyst at Clearwater Capital Partners supports the firm’s financial advisors and clients by managing investment portfolios and leading portfolio reporting efforts. The role requires strong analytical, technical, and detail-oriented skills, as well as knowledge of financial and capital markets. As the firm continues to grow, this position plays a key role in delivering comprehensive and closely monitored investment strategies and supporting long-term client success.
This is a full-time, on-site position
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
Client Onboarding:
- Complete analysis of prospective client portfolios using CCP’s analytical software
- Work with advisors to assign strategies to client accounts in CCP’s portfolio management system
- Prepare new client accounts for trading by entering initial trade settings
Portfolio Management
- Trade through a variety of trading systems (Envestnet Tamarac, Charles Schwab, and LPL)
- Carry out various trading requests (Rebalance, Raise Cash, Tax Loss Harvesting, etc.)
- Complete daily trade reconciliations
- Weekly reviews and maintenance of saved searches identifying accounts to be traded (Deviation, Cash, etc.)
- Maintain and update CCP strategies per decisions made by the Investment Policy Committee
- Assist in the preparation of portfolio management metrics
- Complete mutual fund ICE reviews and execute share class swaps
Client Reporting
- Prepare portfolio performance reports for client progress meetings (CPM’s)
- Manage client portal settings, views, and mobile application
- Generate ad hoc reports via portfolio management system (custom balance sheet reporting, projected income, quarterly reports for tax prep purposes, etc.)
- Create security reports for clients’ appreciated security gifting needs
Investment Policy Committee
- Obtain macroeconomic and financial data for preparation of IPC meetings
- Perform fund due diligence (methodology, costs, tradability, etc.)
Institutional / Held Away Portfolio Management
- Lead the management of held away institutional investment accounts through Pontera platform
- Complete trades and rebalances across accounts on Pontera platform
- Perform fund due diligence for retirement plan fund menus (strategy, costs, allocations, etc.)
- Generate rebalance proposals or trade confirmations
- Ensure connection links between client plan accounts and Pontera platform are in good order
Compliance Support:
- Work with Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to generate various reports to meet regulatory requirements
- Complete weekly trade reviews
- Review & approve access person trade requests
- Verify custodian security valuations
Minimum Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S.
- Satisfactory verification of citizenship or immigration status, a successful background screening, credit check, and drug testing
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Trading/Financial markets knowledge
Desired:
- Financial Services Industry Experience
- Investment Management/Analyst Certifications and/or Licenses (Series 65, CIMA®, CFA)
- Experience in Tamarac or other portfolio management software
- Experience using analytical software (YCharts, Bloomberg, Morningstar, etc.)
