Position Overview
We are in the early discovery and development phase of launching our first CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement) in the Chicago area and are seeking an experienced CILA / QIDP professional to provide paid, part-time consultation.
This role is ideal for someone currently working full-time in the field who is interested in flexible, virtual consulting work and enjoys helping new providers build compliant, high-quality programs from the ground up.
Scope of Work (Consultative / Advisory)
This is not an employment replacement role at this stage. The consultant will provide guidance and insight related to:
- IDHS CILA licensing process and readiness
- Application requirements and timelines
- Required documentation and program setup
- Policies, procedures, and compliance expectations
- Best practices for initial home setup and inspections
- Guidance through submission, follow-ups, and approvals
- Advisory support through licensing approval
Most work will be virtual, with the possibility of occasional on-site visits in Chicago if and when needed (to be discussed in advance after we gte our license).
Time Commitment
- Approximately 1 hour per day during early stages
- May increase to up to 3 hours per day depending on progress and needs
- Flexible scheduling (weekday or evening availability welcome)
Compensation
- $50 per hour
- Paid based on actual consulting hours- minimum one hour paid.
- Opportunity for increased hours as project scales
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Illinois CILA operations
- QIDP experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with:
- IDHS licensing
- Application submission
- Documentation and compliance preparation
- Strong understanding of IDHS expectations and audits
- Ability to clearly explain requirements and guide step-by-step
Growth Opportunity
