Controller – Automotive Dealership (Goose Creek Mitsubishi)

Goose Creek Mitsubishi, part of a growing multi-store automotive group, is seeking an experienced Dealership Controller to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CDK DMS, a proven track record managing accounting operations at the dealership level, and the ability to oversee multiple rooftops if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions including A/R, A/P, payroll, financial statements, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure timely submission to ownership and OEM.
- Manage daily cash flow, floorplan reconciliation, and internal controls.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise and develop the accounting office team.
- Coordinate with GMs, department heads, and ownership to support operational goals.
- Handle multi-store consolidations and reporting when required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of dealership controller or office manager experience.
- Proficiency with CDK (mandatory) and strong Excel/analytical skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP and automotive accounting best practices.
- High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
- Experience managing multiple rooftops preferred.
