Overview
It's a very exciting time at Kingpin lighting (www.kingpinequipped.com) and we are looking to hire our first full-time marketing team member.
We are seeking an entry to mid-level marketing professional to run and grow our social media accounts and grow into driving our product marketing and other efforts. You'll first focus on driving and managing our social media presence (insta/fb) and then have the option for tremendous growth driving paid media (meta, google, etc.), graphic design, manage our tradeshows & events, new product & website media, etc.
We're in a strong starting position - we're ready for your experience and energy to help get us to the next level. We've got a great following and strong customer base for you to build on.
The ideal candidate will have a strong or diverse background across one or more professional areas, including but not limited to, digital marketing, email marketing, organic content strategy, videography, photography, video and photo production and content management, co-op marketing, A-B testing, Data Attribution, Customer Surveys, Ecommerce, etc.
We will strongly prioritize candidates who can demonstrate a track record of professional growth - an increase in responsibilities that align with any of the skillsets listed above.
You must be able to autonomously drive our organic content strategy, content production, and all posting and messaging (fb and insta only as of now) from the start.
The ability to foster relationships and interact with the outside world is also crucial - you'll very often act as the face of Kingpin at public events. Please understand that this is a startup environment and you will be building the systems and processes for our marketing engine (with help and guidance from our CEO and others).

What are you getting into?
We're now in 150+ retail locations in the USA and growing fast. The problem? We're a tiny team of 2 employees and we've gained so much traction in the past year we just can't keep up! We really need someone who can step into a true startup environment and fully own Kingpin's marketing program, starting from the ground up. We see a path to dominating the truck, trailer, and camper industries, particularly in the OEM applications, we just need your marketing leadership, hard work, and organization to drive real brand growth.
Customers love our products, our brand, and customer service. Cultural fit is critical for this role. You'll need to be a polished, emotionally intelligent professional who can get things done and have fun doing it. You must be able to step in and "hit the ground running" - organizing our current organic content strategy, posting, and messaging as soon as possible.
This is a critical hire for Kingpin. This roles performance will be front and center as our first marketing hire. Its an awesome opportunity for the right young professional.
Compensation?
This role offers a wide range based on career experience and alignment with the ideal expectations. The perfect candidate may be offered equity, in addition to a full-time salary. Kingpin reviews and establishes candidate compensation packages on a case-by-case basis for this role.

- Sales Account Types: Brick and Mortar Retailers, Online Retailers, OEM
- Software & Tools: Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Canva, Adobe Suite, Video Editing Software, Chat GPT, Claude AI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Shopify
- Marketing Media & Displays: You are responsible for organizing and delivering all B2B marketing media that goes out to USA retailers. Sales team will request certain graphics, brochures, posters, signs, etc. You maintain an organized system to ensure all retailers get the appropriate displays and messaging/imagery. You manage a budget across all markets.
- Reporting: You are responsible for collecting, tracking, and reporting marketing performance monthly, quarterly all pertinent KPI data. You schedule regular performance updates. You standardize your reporting at the cadence required to ensure success. This reporting is how you will communicate your value-add as an important contributor - it's the reason you're Kingpin's first marketing hire!
Qualifications
- Proven success/prior experience in social media marketing, creative production, brand building, product marketing. You will be expected to develop and deploy strategies for stabilizing the social media accounts and driving long term growth.
- Demonstrated experience, energy/attitude, and the right cultural fit are the most important things we're looking for in this critical growth period.

- Strong leadership capabilities and personal accountability

- Degrees from accredited 4-year universities are strongly preferred, but not necessarily required.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
