Why Work For Us
Grubhub, part of Wonder Group Inc, is all about connecting hungry diners with our network of over 375,000 merchants nationwide. Innovative technology, user-friendly platforms and streamlined delivery capabilities set us apart and make us an industry leader in the world of online food ordering. When you join our team, you become part of a community that works together to innovate, solve problems, grow, work hard and have a ton of fun in the process!
The Grubhub Corporate Accounts team is seeking a dynamic program strategist to shape and expand the Large Order segment of the corporate business. This role acts as the single-threaded owner for this program end-to-end, with the goal of building a best-in-class solution for businesses feeding employees through multi-person order formats.
You will own and define the strategic direction for this key segment, leveraging deep data analysis to generate actionable insights and pioneer new, high-impact initiatives that influence both corporate and consumer diners. This individual contributor role is ideal for an analytical, self-driven leader who is comfortable navigating significant ambiguity and complexity to deliver solutions and drive growth.
The Impact You Will Make:
As the primary owner and cross-functional authority for defined, step-change Large Order initiatives, your impact will include:
- Strategy Definition & Execution: Define and lead the execution of high-impact projects, ensuring critical alignment with Corporate Accounts and broader organizational objectives (OKRs and KPIs).
- End-to-End Program Ownership: Successfully deliver and fully implement multiple major and minor initiatives simultaneously, overseeing the full project lifecycle from initiation to deployment.
- Concept Incubation & Scaling: Build and sustain initiatives in a proof-of-concept phase with limited to no product work, and lead the cross-collaborative effort to define the clear path to productization.
- Executive Influence: Influence intra-departmental executive decision-makers (e.g., Product, Logistics, Merchant, Finance) to guide outcomes that are optimal for Corporate Accounts and Grubhub overall.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and optimize playbooks and best practices to expand and mature strategic capabilities across the org.
- Ambiguity Management: Operate with a strong bias for action in the face of open-ended and ambiguous goals, proactively seeking out problems to define solutions and drive significant growth.
What You Bring to the Table
- 8+ years of professional experience in a management role, preferably program management, consulting, or strategy & operations.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in proposal writing and crafting strategic documentation.
- A history of successful, high-impact initiative delivery in a program, project, or strategy & operations role.
- Expertly articulate the risk/reward trade-offs when ruthlessly prioritizing initiatives across the portfolio.
- Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, proactively adjusting strategies as needed to ensure goal attainment.
- Proactively provides researched and benchmarked ideas on how to continuously improve the Corporate Accounts business, staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.
