About Crowden School
We're not your average K–8 school. At Crowden, music is more than an elective; it's at the heart of our top-tier academic experience. Our students study a string instrument for two hours daily alongside a rigorous academic program. We're preparing young minds for lifelong learning through creativity, discipline, and community.
This year marks the introduction of our first Kindergarten grade as we expand our curriculum. This new offering is designed for young learners but fully embodies the spirit, music, and collaborative learning philosophy of Crowden.
We're seeking a Part-Time Junior Content Creator & Campaign Assistant - a high-performing digital assistant who actively creates and adapts content for social media platforms and marketing channels, while also contributing to growth strategy and campaign performance. This is a part-time, contract role, ideal for someone who already creates standout content and is looking to grow their portfolio in a mission-driven setting.
This position is a hands-on content creation role. Not only will you assist in planning and scheduling, but you'll also create content that grabs attention, gets shared, and converts.
You'll create visuals, video, captions, and motion graphics with platform-specific nuance: Reels that hook in the first 2 seconds, YouTube Shorts with retention in mind, carousel posts that educate and entertain. You'll track performance, contribute to campaign builds, and regularly refine your approach using analytics.
You'll work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and Advancement team in a collaborative, idea-driven environment, pitching, reviewing, and shaping content together.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Execution
- Design, edit, and publish video, graphic, and written content across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube (including both Shorts and long-form content).
- Adapt posts for each platform's best practices, including video formats, caption length, hashtags, thumbnail selection, timing, and more.
- Utilize tools like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite to create visually stunning and engaging motion content.
Creative Research & Brainstorming
- Research trends across education, music, neuroscience, and cultural spaces.
- Bring strong examples from outside the education space — you know how to analyze what makes a campaign successful and adapt it with Crowden's tone and mission.
- Identify and recommend formats and content types that grow engagement, awareness, and web traffic.
Social Campaigns & Performance
- Ability to set up and help run Meta campaigns (IG/FB), including audience targeting, objective selection, A/B creative testing, and refresh timelines.
- Monitor post and campaign performance in Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, and Google Analytics.
- Share concise, actionable reports that include key learnings and future content recommendations.
Graphic Design, Design Systems & Production Support
- Exercise your graphic design skills to assist in print-based and digital reports, documents, and collateral creation when needed.
- Ensure all assets adhere to Crowden's brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Organize and label digital assets, including photography and past content libraries.
Who You Are
- A creator at heart — you're already making content and can show what performs well (on your account or for a client/brand).
- Thoughtful, fast, and coachable — you can move at pace without ego and improve content through collaboration.
- Committed to understanding what makes a platform-specific post succeed, from captioning to aspect ratios to music selection.
- Results-oriented - you love testing ideas and tracking outcomes. Optimization isn't a buzzword to you — it's your playbook.
- An experienced content producer with at least 2+ years of experience in digital content, social media strategy, or growth marketing.
Skills We're Looking For
- Strong video editing and motion graphic design skills (CapCut, Canva, Premiere, etc.)
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager, Instagram Insights, and YouTube Studio
- Graphic design sensibility and layout skills
- Experience with Google Analytics is a plus (or a strong willingness to learn)
- Clear and compelling writing for social captions and CTAs
- Reliable, organized, and self-managing — you meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks.
- A strong team player who values and grows by collaborating
Nice to Have
- Prior work with education, arts-led institutions, youth-focused, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Ads, or newsletter marketing
- Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design in digital media
