Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and driven Manufacturing Engineer to support process development, production efficiency, and quality improvements across a range of mechanical and assembly operations. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, hands-on process optimization experience, and a passion for implementing lean manufacturing principles in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new designs (DFM/DFA).
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and production routings.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to increase throughput and reduce waste.
- Analyze production performance and quality data to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
- Design and procure tooling, jigs, and fixtures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing robust, scalable manufacturing methods.
- Work cross-functionally with quality, supply chain, and operations teams to meet cost, delivery, and compliance goals.
- Ensure all processes adhere to company, industry, and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, OSHA).
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, assembly, or fabrication processes.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of process documentation, time studies, and PFMEA.
- Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven process tracking.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Hands-on experience with automation or robotics integration.
