Job Description
Our Junior Graphic Designers are responsible for providing multiple commercial real estate brokers with marketing materials that are dynamic, accurate and comprehensive. Designers work on projects from conception to production and ensure they promote our brand by delivering high quality marketing pieces in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and constant upkeep of company marketing materials for print, web, and mobile use.
- Creating illustrative site plans of shopping centers and commercial buildings and incorporating them in marketing brochures and presentations.
- Creating different style maps (sometimes from scratch) that include retailers, developments and other information about the market.
- Creating pitch packages for presentations to potential new clients.
- Creating tour packages for tenants that are expanding in the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Designing and distributing email marketing campaigns that are creative and original to reflect both the company brand and the clients’.
- Design creative pieces that step outside the company's standard template but maintain the company branding and are attractive to others in the industry.
- Must be able to complete projects with aggressive timelines and work well under pressure.
- Following a system of design essential to the consistent overall look of the company.
- Coordinate with the Director of Marketing and the Creative Director in your office on efficiencies and processes as well as brand standards and creative guidelines.
Requirements:
- Has proficient knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator for production and graphic preparation (company currently uses Adobe CC)
- Has a degree or certification in Graphic Design
- Has basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and won't be confused by seeing "code" and making revisions to it
- Has great attention to detail, verbal and written communications skills
- Has the ability to work on many tasks and projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Worries about the details of a project as much as the overall design
- Should be able to communicate design decisions to both designers and non-designers
- Has the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively
- Is consistent in their design and learns from each project
- Is excited and passionate about their work
- Has the ability to prioritize their workload and adapt to changing conditions
- Has a good attitude and enjoys working hard and learning new things
- Is willing and able to learn new software programs used in the commercial real estate industry (Esri, ArcGIS, Placer, Nearmap, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Washington DC-Baltimore market is a plus.
