Position Details
We are looking for a creative, organized and intellectually curious teammate to join a highly collaborative Marketing team, playing a critical role in a very different kind of law firm. Because of our highly distinctive business model and unique global footprint, members of Kobre & Kim’s Marketing Team, which sits within a wider Strategy Department, have opportunities to make an outsized impact, including an openness and eagerness for new ideas; day-to-day collaboration with company leadership; and exposure to unique and innovative litigation issues, many of which are often front-page news.
The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the events team to assist in the planning and execution of significant digital and in-person marketing initiatives that support the firm’s strategic goals, including firm-hosted events, publicly facing webinars and internal trainings. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills, who takes initiative to complete tasks and drive projects.
Specifically, This Person Will
- Support internal and external hosted events, including partner meetings, product group summits, webinars and other Strategy department-related events.
- Follow event team processes to ensure seamless execution of all deliverables
- Support in the project management and execution of marketing initiatives
Representative Tasks Include
Firm Events
- Hosted Events
- Assist with logistics for in person and digital events to ensure all events run smoothly (i.e., scheduling, sourcing venues, printed materials, giveaways and onsite support).
- Invitation management including formatting testing, and sending of electronic communications using Vuture, our email marketing platform.
- Manage attendees and track post-event follow up items in OnePlace.
- Industry (External) Events
- Tracking, calendaring and submitting event deliverables (i.e., bios, speaker forms, logos, advertisements).
- Coordinate lawyer attendance at external events, including liaising directly with lawyers before and after events.
- Track and manage firm and lawyer industry memberships.
- Coordinate event-related marketing collateral as needed, including sponsorship ads, website and social media posts.
- Oversee and update the firm’s internal events database.
Marketing Team Projects
- Assist with the firm’s annual holiday mailing, including list management, gift assembly and fulfilment.
- Maintain inventory of firm-branded collateral and event supplies, and work with external vendors as needed.
- Responsible for vendor relations, paperwork and invoice processing in ChromeRiver.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Business preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Proactively communicates to facilitate workflow, teamwork and efficiency.
- Produces high-quality work; is efficient, accurate and has good attention to detail.
- Strives to improve performance; seeks opportunities to develop professionally and expand job knowledge.
At the time of posting, the salary range for this role is $ 55,000 (minimum) – $67,000 (maximum). This range is based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus. The successful candidate’s actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
