Navitat Canopy Adventures is an award-winning tree-based aerial zipline adventure company with locations near Asheville, NC and Knoxville, TN. We are seeking an experienced and creative Sales and Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and bookings at our ASHEVILLE LOCATION.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership position working closely with our CEO and management team. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution with a strong eye for marketing, a desire for dynamic work, and a passion for connecting people to outdoor adventure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Shape and carry out the company’s overall sales strategy, sharing key updates and reports with leadership.
- Build and maintain a strong group sales pipeline by nurturing leads, building relationships, and securing bookings.
- Grow and manage partnerships with community groups, tour operators, and sales agencies to boost visibility and drive revenue.
- Plan and run marketing initiatives that support sales goals, including promotions, seasonal pushes, and special events.
- Oversee advertising partnerships—handling contracts, communication, and ensuring campaigns meet company goals and brand standards.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to optimize Google Ads and SEO, review performance reports, and present findings to ownership.
- Ensure graphic design and social media content stay aligned with the company’s brand and messaging.
- Direct retail branding, product selection, inventory, and merchandise sales.
- Hire, train, and, when necessary, terminate sales staff.
- Complete administrative tasks related to Accounts Payable.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Supervise the Guest Services Coordinator to maintain excellent service across Navitat’s entire sales funnel, reservation system, and on-site experience.
- Serve as Site Manager when the CEO or Operations Manager is unavailable.
- Act as Welcome Center Manager and oversee sales staff when the Guest Services Coordinator is off.
- Step in as Group Coordinator when needed, assisting group leaders through planning and ensuring a smooth on-site experience.
- Become cross-trained in other key areas in case of emergency - guiding zipline tours, driving off-road vehicles, assisting in operations, etc.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of education or professional marketing and/or sales experience, ideally in tourism, hospitality, or outdoor recreation
- Familiarity with paid digital advertising (Meta Ads, Google Ads, or similar)
- Understanding of SEO best practices and how to implement them in collaboration with web partners
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays
- Must be comfortable participating in aerial adventure activities (e.g., climbing, ziplining)
Compensation
- 55 - 62K per annum; Dependent upon candidate competencies, background and experience
