What You’ll Do
As a developing professional, the Associate Communications Manager will analyze, complete, and provide support to a robust multi-channel communications strategy. This role will contribute to the tactical aspects of internal and external communications programs across the organization’s Corporate Communications and HR teams. The Associate Communications Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to build and review messaging and content for diverse audiences, ensuring alignment with Imperative Care’s mission to elevate patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring performance of communications initiatives, administering content platforms, and offering executive leadership and general administrative support.
- Create and/or review internal and external content including emails, blog posts, website language, digital signs, social media posts, intranet content, newsletters, infographics, videos, presentations, and branding materials.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and recommend appropriate communications to meet the needs of our employees and programs.
- Administer and monitor the performance of the company’s intranet platform, including ongoing content development, data coordination and messaging execution.
- Analyze platform user engagement metrics and recommend strategies and actions to improve internal communication experience.
- Participate in communications projects, complete appropriate follow-up, maintain content calendars and track project deliverables to meet deadlines, ensuring clarity of assignments and next steps for the execution of the overall communications strategy.
- Prepare and share updates and feedback to project leads and management, noting accomplishments and challenges that may affect meeting deadlines or project completion.
- Support the development and review of press releases, company statements and other critical external communications materials, including website social media content.
- Monitor publicly available information including media coverage, marketing materials, social media, and clinicaltrials.gov for company and industry related news and developments. Highlight relevant information for leadership to determine what to share or incorporate into other communications.
- Provide support to video and photography needs across the organization.
- Perform administrative activities as needed to support senior leadership and other staff:
- Schedule meetings and conferences (on & offsite), book and setup meeting rooms, etc.
- Coordinate company events and participate in project management activities.
- Maintain filing system and organize documents, photos, media coverage, etc.
- Submit on behalf leaders, or follow up on expense reports, as needed.
- Gather the necessary input and Information from key stakeholders to support communications planning and execution.
- Test new communication tools and platforms as needed to improve engagement effectiveness.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior medical device or bio-tech experience is preferred.
- Developing skill with communications and marketing tools like Canva, Simpplr (or similar intranet hosting platform), or MailChimp, Asana or similar platforms and PC-based applications
- Proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite applications (Illustrator, InDesign etc.) is preferred
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft office suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) required.
- Ability to build relationships with internal team members and external contacts, communicating effectively and professionally.
- Ability to work independently and to prioritize activities and workload.
- Ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and have awareness for the sensitivity of materials/meetings/etc. to which this position will have access.
- Be reliable, detail-oriented, and task-oriented; proactive in approach to the role, taking charge of the items that require attention and completion.

Salary Range $98,000 – 106,000 annually
