Job Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Program Production Engineering team. Our team is responsible for delivering advanced missile‑defense solutions through effective manufacturing processes.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving manufacturing excellence across the PAC‑3 Command Launch System Sustainment activities requiring support of domestic and international repair and/or refurbishment activities while creating strategic risk and opportunity plans to incorporate development and production initiatives into post-production effort..
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, and material handling.
- Integrate new technologies such as automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing software to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Create and analyze 3D model data and engineering specifications to optimize processes and digital work instructions.
- Evaluate equipment performance, identify deficiencies, and initiate corrective actions to ensure operational excellence.
- Use factory data to develop statistical process‑control methods and data‑analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
- Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques to ensure producibility and reduce cost.

Desired Skills
- Experience in Depot/sustainment programs
- Experience with Windchill
- Tooling and fixtures design experience
- Experience in design for manufacturing
- Proven experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency
- Ability to design, integrate, and update tooling systems (i.e 3D printing, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing technologies)
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) experience

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
