Overview
HMY Yacht Sales has been a leader in the maritime industry for over 46 years. With offices in 15 locations along the east coast of Florida and into the Carolinas and up to Rhode Island, HMY is always expanding. We are looking for a Business Development Specialist with a strong work ethic to join our team and help us as we continue to grow. We want self-starters and self-motivators who are comfortable both behind a desk and in front of customers. This is an entry level or early career position. Responsibilities:
- Analyze and organize current client and prospect profiles, sales lifecycles, and engagement activity using the HubSpot CRM and working with the designated sales team to ensure detailed accuracy.
- Pre-qualify new potential clients which may include various direct methods such as emailing, calling, texting, or scheduling face-to-face meetings with the salespeople.
- Send client review request post deal-closing for the appropriate customers designated by the salespeople.
- Report engagement activity weekly to the Director of Business Development and the respective Brand Manager.
- Assist Marketing and Sales with initiatives to improve the prospect experience and conversions.
- Attend industry events and trade shows - assist with event invitations, lead registration on-site, event follow-up, and reporting.
Qualifications and skills
- Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
- Strong entrepreneurial work ethic, with ability to multi-task and organize daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work as needs change.
- Tools include: CRM, SharePoint, Office 365, Boat Wizard, and Yachtr.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a team player with a strong customer focus and able to work successfully without micro-management.
