The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing all marketing initiatives that drive visibility, occupancy, revenue, and brand consistency for the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. This role serves as the strategic lead for positioning the resort as a premier beachfront destination on Sand Key while upholding Marriott brand standards. The Marketing Manager partners closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, Events, and Operations to ensure cohesive messaging and effective promotion of the resort’s offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and maintain marketing strategies to meet objectives and enhance the hotel’s brand image
- Evaluate customer feedback, market conditions, and competitor insights to improve marketing efforts
- Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to coordinate all marketing, advertising, promotions, and social media campaigns
- Manage brand and creative agencies for collateral design, printing, and promotional materials
- Organize special events to generate positive press and public relations opportunities
- Create and curate unique lifestyle programming in coordination with hotel operations for use in PR and social media
- Oversee daily activities of PR agencies and ensure timely execution of strategies and deliverables
- Monitor in-hotel marketing and brand standards to ensure full compliance
- Coordinate with the Director of Revenue to integrate branding into e-marketing and paid advertising strategies
- Oversee PPC keyword submissions, e-blasts, e-brochures/modules, and e-proposals across digital channels
- Support website blog development and manage the content strategy in partnership with the Director of Revenue
- Develop promotional offers and packages based on PR and marketing initiatives
- Assist in developing annual marketing budgets
- Manage online reputation and ensure brand-aligned messaging across third-party platforms
- Identify and leverage social media opportunities to drive engagement
- Create branded presentation documents in accordance with brand standards
- Prioritize multiple tasks and departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Responsible for overall management, content creation and social media strategy for the Resort across all relevant social media platforms, working to grow audiences and effectively represent the brand’s voice online
- This position is additionally responsible for strategy, execution /creation, editing, and storage of additional marketing content, including in-house shot and professionally outsourced
- This position works within the Marketing and Public Relations team, reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing and Public Relations and working closely with internal team members to create and implement social media calendars, campaigns, and strategy in alignment with Property, Brand and overall marketing goals
- Oversee all Resort social channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok – for the Resort.
- Develop high-quality, on-brand, engaging original content to increase brand presence and social media audience
- Create and manage social editorial calendar, posting schedule, social content shoot planning and execution, and review content created by team members
- Coordinate and work with department members across the Resort to plan social media content shoots and to assure monthly coverage of all on-site ancillaries
- Work with Director of Sales and Marketing regarding marketing and content initiatives
- Plan and coordinate content photo/video shoots ensuring all content is in-line with brand goals and strategies
- Utilize social media management tools such as Sprout Social to track KPIs, analyze data and develop reports to communicate overall social impact
- Keep pace with industry trends and use them to improve how we do business, drive results, and engage audiences
- Benchmark and monitor competitors and industry leaders in social media and content used for marketing, to apply best practices
- Serve as the Resort’s resident expert on all social media and content production techniques, including best practices, testing emerging platforms, and competitive analysis
- Facilitate partnerships with influencers and other businesses to create marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, channel growth and engagement
- This includes working with the Resort’s public relations agencies to identify opportunities, negotiate influencer collaborations, and host influencers at the Resort
- In conjunction with the operations and monitoring team, work with the department’s Social Media Specialist to act as customer service leads when handling escalations on social media platforms
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or a related field
- Computer literate; proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Office, and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- 1–2 years of paid advertising experience
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content trends
- Experience managing brand assets and visual identity guidelines
- Familiarity with website CMS platforms and basic SEO principles
- Experience with Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, and/or other ad management tools
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and produce performance reports
- Experience working with agencies (PR, creative, digital)
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Knowledge of hospitality or tourism industry is an advantage
- Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns
