The Team:
The Strategy and Corporate Development team is a small and elite team responsible for Mattel’s overall corporate strategy, and whose day-to-day responsibilities include strategic planning, M&A and corporate development, and strategic projects. We are at the forefront of Mattel’s next chapter of growth.
The Opportunity:
Mattel is currently seeking a Manager to join the Strategy and Corporate Development team at our El Segundo, CA headquarters. Each member of this high-performing team plays a key role in shaping the future of Mattel.

What Your Impact Will Be
- Work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and broader Mattel leadership team to shape Mattel’s corporate strategy and lead the annual strategic planning process.
- Partner closely with senior executives across the company on critical strategic projects across the company, including leading cross-functional teams to realize business impact.
- Support key M&A and corporate development priorities across the company.
What We’re Looking For
- BA / BS degree from a top-tier university.
- 7+ years of total professional experience (5+ with an MBA) with 2+ years of post-MBA or equivalent work experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or in-house strategy.
- Track record of impact.
- Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder groups.
- Superior communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- Consumer, Tech, and / or Entertainment industry experience
- The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
