Portfolio Specialist:

This entry-level to early-career role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in credit analysis, portfolio management, and Ag and Commercial lending while working closely with experienced banking professionals.
You’ll gain hands-on exposure to real client relationships, financial analysis, and the loan lifecycle—while being supported by a collaborative team committed to your development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows for loan requests
- Support due diligence efforts for new and existing credit relationships
- Help manage loan renewals in collaboration with relationship managers, customers, and credit administration
- Prepare and organize loan packages for review and approval
- Assist with loan closings, amendments, and modifications
- Track portfolio performance, covenant compliance, exceptions, and reporting
- Monitor borrower financial condition and loan repayment activity
- Ensure all work aligns with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines
- Serve as a support liaison between customers, relationship managers, and internal teams
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, agriculture, or a related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in credit, banking, finance, or a related role (or strong internship experience) preferred
- Interest in Ag and Commercial banking
- Basic understanding of financial statements and cash flow analysis
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and a willingness to learn
