We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Systems Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of physical security system projects. This role is responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and client communication while ensuring technical requirements are met across access control, video surveillance, alarms, and low-voltage systems.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep industry knowledge who can oversee technical teams, manage complex projects, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery
- Own projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage project schedules, work plans, and manpower forecasts.
- Review project scopes, drawings, and specifications; perform or validate takeoffs as needed.
- Manage project risks, issues, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
Team & Resource Management
- Lead and coordinate installation teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Provide direction to field leadership while minimizing direct hands-on installation work.
- Ensure crews are aligned with project objectives, timelines, and quality expectations.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary client-facing contact for assigned projects.
- Conduct project meetings, progress reviews, and status updates with customers.
- Manage customer expectations, scope changes, and documentation approvals.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical oversight for security systems without acting as the primary installer.
- Ensure proper programming standards for S2 and/or Genetec systems are followed.
- Escalate and resolve complex technical issues in coordination with engineering and senior leadership.
Financial & Compliance Management
- Track project costs, labor, and materials to maintain budget compliance.
- Approve change orders and coordinate billing milestones.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience managing physical security system projects.
- Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, alarms, and IP-based systems.
- Experience managing crews, subcontractors, and multi-site deployments.
- Working knowledge of IP networking concepts and enterprise security platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel locally and in-state as required (approximately 20% travel).
- Valid driver’s license, clean background, and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with S2 or Genetec platforms (programming oversight level).
- Certifications in one or more of the following:
- Software House
- Avigilon
- Lenel S2
- Axis
- Genetec
- Cisco
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (or military equivalent) in Engineering or a related field.
