Phiston Technologies is looking for a Junior Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who’s excited to learn, build real hardware, and contribute to innovative electromechanical products from concept through production.
You’ll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support the design, development, and testing of electromechanical systems used in high-reliability hardware products.
🛠 What You’ll Do
- Assist in the design and development of electromechanical assemblies and components
- Create and update 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
- Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate systems
- Help perform basic engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design reviews
- Participate in design-for-manufacturability (DFM) efforts and production support
- Document designs, changes, and test results throughout the development process
🎓 What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- 0–3 years of experience (internships, co-ops, or project work count!)
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hands-on engineering environment
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to electromechanical systems, motors, sensors, or wiring
- Internship or project experience with hardware products
- Familiarity with GD&T, DFM, or basic FEA concepts
- Interest in industrial, security, or hardware equipment design
