The Supply Chain Finance Specialist / Relationship Manager is responsible for (i) the acquisition, structuring, negotiating and closing of Supply Chain Finance transactions and (ii) originating and managing (incl. risk management) corporate relationships with clients using trade finance products in North America and certain parts of Latin America. including state-owned companies in Mexico, Peru and Colombia. International bank seeks a trade finance banker with experience in the LATAM market.
Main Functions in Detail
• Responsible for business development in line with the Departments strategy and the Banks prevailing credit risk policy and return expectations
• Responsible for acquiring, structuring, negotiating and closing of Supply Chain Finance transactions together with other financial institutions and third-party platforms
• Proper assessment and evaluation of the risk regarding borrowers, country, and structures (incl. ABL Borrowing Bases) in order to prepare a New Deal Meeting with the bank’s credit department
• Maintain a regular contact with the Borrower/Obligors and Arranger Banks
• Preparation of credit applications for new transactions/credit facilities and follow-up the approval process
• Supervision of review dates and preparation of credit reviews according to internal guidelines
• Responsible for credit documentation in cooperation with ex-/internal lawyers, banks and other internal departments
• Responsible to obtain all necessary documentation for compliance and filing
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and adapt strategies accordingly
• Close cooperation with Credit, Collateral Management and with Operations
Prior experience 5 to 10 years in trade finance necessary.
Fluency in Spanish required
Salary $150-$200K + bonus.
