Position Overview
The candidate will join a team of over 20 investment professionals globally and will work with the investment team based in New York, comprised of eight professionals.
Job Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the candidate will include:
- Investment due diligence – Screening and review of potential primary fund and co-investment opportunities, including in-depth analysis of fund performance and track record, review and analysis of co-investment opportunities including reviewing all third-party diligence and constructing return scenarios, as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis of competitive landscape and industry analysis
- Prepare and present detailed materials for Investment Committee review
- Investment monitoring – Analyze investment performance, participation in update meetings with managers, attendance at annual investor meetings, quarterly valuations and help with annual valuation audit
- Deal flow management – Coordination and logging of fund and co-investment deal flow, relevant deal flow analysis and pro-active communication with intermediaries to support deal sourcing
- Reporting – To support the team in the preparation of the clients’ reporting, including portfolio valuation, quarterly reports, and performance analysis
- Commercial effort – Support for the production of marketing materials and answers to RFP processes
- Help prepare detailed portfolios (fund and co-investment), reviews, presentations and portfolio analysis
Qualifications & Requirements
The candidate will join a small, dynamic team with global ambitions. The candidate will need to take initiative and contribute to the overall team effort and spirit. A self-starter mindset and ability for teamwork under time pressure are a prerequisite. Candidate needs to be:
- Mature, highly motivated individual who is detail oriented; problem solving & solution oriented; with demonstrated ability to efficiently work, both independently and as well as part of a team
- Analytical, with intellectual rigor and honesty
- Able to produce and deliver on a timely manner and under pressure
- Bachelor’s level degree from a recognized advanced educational institution with a minor in Accounting is a strong plus
- Comfortable in key finance and accounting principals
- Strong in IT literacy including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong Preference for a relevant experience in private equity (primary, secondary and/or direct)
Location: New York City
Start date: As soon as possible / to be mutually agreed
Compensation: $125K-$180K per annum inclusive of discretionary bonus, which depends on experience and performance assumed to be in line with expectations.
